Anushka will be playing the title role Bhagmati, who was the wife of fifth Sultan of the Qutb Shahi dynasty of Golkonda, Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah. Director Ashok of Pilla Jamindar fame will wield the megaphone for the movie.
With two big-budget prestigious period
dramas Baahubali and Rudrama Devi in pipeline, actress Anushka has now
signed yet another period film titled Bhagmati.
An official confirmation on the project is awaited.
